has backed Pep Guardiola to quit Man City and take the England job if Gareth Southgate departs the role in 2024., suggested the Spaniard, 52, may decide he has done “all he can” with City after joining seven years ago., Guardiola is the dream appointment for some at the FA – and officials are open to exploring a move for his services.
The report claims the FA are preparing for Southgate to leave the hot seat following the conclusion of the 2024 European Championships in Germany. Guardiola signed a new three-year contract at Man City just last year but has since led the Citizens to a famous treble. The nine-time English champions are well-fancied to repeat that feat in the 2023-24 campaign and have won all four of their opening four league games.
