Patti LuPone recently spoke about why fans have not yet seen either Agatha All Along or WandaVision return for Season 2.
Agatha All Along debuted on Disney+ on September 18, 2024. The show focuses on a coven of witches joining Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness on her mission to journey through the Witches’ Road.LuPone played the role of Lilia Calderu in the 2024 mini-series and expressed that she wanted Agatha All Along to return for Season 2, but stated that it won’t be happening. LuPone told Cohen, “There won’t be one.
The actress further revealed the reason given to her by Jac Schaeffer for why Agatha All Along won’t be back for Season 2. She added, “ said, ‘I don’t do second seasons.’ She said, ‘There’s too much to write,’ so she does one-offs and I’m really hoping and praying that someday I get to work with her again because she’s magic.”
Patti LuPone further stated that this was the same reason Schaeffer also pulled out of making Season 2 of WandaVision, which Agatha All Along was in part a sequel to. She recalled, “She said, ‘They wanted me to do a second season of WandaVision and I didn’t.'” LuPone’s time as Lilia Calderu on the series ended in Episode 7, which aired on October 23, 2024.
