The Utah Attorney General's Office found 'no evidence' of discrimination by the owner of a Salt Lake bar, who said 'Zionists' were not welcome
The Utah Attorney General's Office found "no evidence" of discrimination by the owner of a Salt Lake bar, who said 'Zionists' were not welcome in his establishment.
In a letter to the bar owner, dated April 3, 2024, an AG division director said there were complaints of people being denied service "based on their Jewish religious affiliation/Zionist beliefs.""We never violated anything," said Valentine. "We never broke the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Zionism is not a protected class.
Earlier, the bar owner said he "loves" the Jewish faith, but he said "our ban is going to stand. We're not discriminating against a religion, ethnicity, or any other protected class."
