After years of depressing forecasts that the damage from climate change, pollution, hunting and overfishing has ruined our oceans, there has been a ray of hope things can be turned around.Humpback whales migrating from Antarctica to Eastern Australia have increased by about 10% each year, from a few hundred in 1968 to more than 40,000 now – benefiting from the ban on commercial whaling in 1986.
