SAN DIEGO — A man who matched the description of a sexual assault suspect last week returned to the sameThe man is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl while she was asleep in her bed around 1:45 a.m. Thursday.

Around 3:45 a.m. Sunday, video surveillance footage outside the house on the 2800 block of Wellington Street captured a person matching that suspect's description. Police said the man did not enter the home this time, and no one was harmed. would help the case. Now, they're asking members of the public for help identifying the suspect.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man in his early 20s with dark hair. He was seen wearing darks shoes, light colored sweatpants, and a dark hoodie sweatshirt with light printing down the left sleeve and an unknown image. He had a backpack and bicycle with him. Police encourage anyone with video surveillance footage from the area or any information regarding this incident to call the Child Abuse Unit at 531-2210 or SDPD non-emergency line at 531-2000.
