Harry Styles opened up about his mental health post-One Direction.
“I thought it meant that you were broken,” he told the magazine. “I wanted to be the one who could say I didn’t need it.” But once he got over his initial trepidation, the 28-year-oldsinger said therapy allowed him to “open up rooms in himself” that he didn’t know existed and to feel things more honestly after his previous tendency to “emotionally coast.”“I think that accepting living, being happy, hurting in the extremes, that is the most alive you can be,” Styles said.
Styles said he admires Eilish and watching her navigate fame was a kind of turning point for him in his relationship to living in public. He said it made him reflect on his own journey and identify with what Eilish was going through — with the magazine describing his description of that head-spinning journey as “the sudden rush of admiration, the clamoring — and he felt proud of her, happy for her, but, simultaneously, oddly distinct, hardened even.
