Lasting moments of previous shortcomings were extinguished some during the postgame celebration of a 2-1 win at Buddy Moorhead Stadium and the three points needed to clinch a playoff spot and third place. But that was due in large to the buzz still surrounding of how close things were in going home now or advancing to the postseason.

College Park did what they needed against the teams below them in the standings to stay in contention. It went 0-2 against district champs The Woodlands and took ties against Caney Creek and Oak Ridge in the first round. The Cavaliers, however, beat those two teams the second time around.
