"There is no causal link between the chants and actual violence being committed on anyone," Economic Freedom Fighters party spokesman Sinawo Tambo toldEFF leader Julius Malema led thousands of party faithful singing"Kill the Boer, Kill the farmer" at their 10-year anniversary rally at the weekend.

Quote Message: We chant it to reignite the passion and flame, to chant against white supremacy as a system... To point out that the system of white supremacy that was presided over by predominantly white Afrikaner males - or Boers - must be destroyed. Our people are not irrational beings who will mistake a chant as an instruction to commit murder. There's an undermining of the intelligence of the African people - that they would mistake a song as an instruction to do something.
