The premiership hardman says he would ‘gag’ senior Melbourne officials over their ‘garbage’.
Brown said he believes a pattern has been forming over some time at Melbourne and this has done nothing to suggest otherwise.
“I think they’re a fragile football club and have been for a little while and they just played into that,” he went on.“One, because they aren’t as good as what they think they are, and two, because they can’t execute in front of goals. It’s pretty simple.”Forward Kysaiah Pickett will miss the Demons' first AFL game of 2024 due to suspension.
In the first quarter of Melbourne’s two-point AFL semi-final loss at the MCG, Pickett was applying pressure to Cripps. When the Carlton skipper fired off a handball, Pickett leaped off the ground and crashed through him, with the back of his shoulder catching Cripps in the head. The hit was assessed by match review officer Michael Christian as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, drawing a one-match ban.Teammate Jack Viney received a $3000 fine for rough conduct on Lachlan Fogarty, while Tom Sparrow was fined $1000 for misconduct on Sam Walsh.
