AFL announces season suspension. NRL and A-League under pressure to follow.
The 2020 AFL season has been postponed after just one round and the AFLW season has been cancelled, with no premiership to be awarded, due to the coronavirus outbreak. The move comes after state governments announced shutdown measures to combat Covid-19.Victoria, NSW, Western Australia and South Australia have all announced various shutdown measures will be enforced within the next couple of days.
