AFC Telford United are on their way to making New Bucks Head a ‘fortress’ according to boss Kevin Wilkin.

The Bucks enjoyed a much-needed victory in their last home game against Stratford Town, their third of the season on home soil. And Wilkin is desperate to continue to please the Telford fans with strong performances and results at New Bucks Head, starting tonight against Alvechurch.

“We want it to be a fortress and to make it a difficult place to come,” he said. “Clearly every side gets lifted when they come to the fantastic surroundings, so we always have to match that.” Wilkin added: “We want to focus on enhancing our strong home support and keeping them on board, that’s really important to us. I want them to believe that when they turn up to support us they are going to a team that gives everything for the cause.
