Pride was born out of struggle and protest, with trans women of color leading the resistance; fighting for their right to exist. We are still fighting for our right to exist as queer and trans people, and existence is part of our resistance. To me, Pride Month means continuing to fight for our rights, celebrating who we are, and holding each other up in community - as we’ve always done.Our LGBTQ+ communities are under attack, and transgender youth in particular are feeling the brunt of it.
