Adele Roberts has revealed that she was undergoing chemotherapy during her appearance on the Great British Celebrity Bake Off.

Taking to Twitter after the show aired, Adele revealed that she was undergoing chemotherapy while on the show and had an ice machine to keep her cool. Adele also bravely spoke about her cancer battle on the show, saying: "I have absolutely loved the past couple of days. During the show, Adele was sadly pipped to victory by fellow competitor David Morrissey, she was “close on his heels” according to Prue Leith, and did impress the judges with her stunning Popcorn Bucket themed showstopper, based on her perfect idea of a day off - a trip to the movies!

After announcing she was cancer-free in June last year, she is now encouraging others to speak to a professional early on if they spot any of the signs.
