He is the club’s biggest name and arguably best player, who is contracted until the end of 2025. However reports claim that the club expects more from him as a senior player.He had a disappointing first season in his new colours and as a result lost his spot in the New South Wales Origin side. But a statement month of performances for the Kangaroos in last year’s Rugby League World Cup — and six tries in his first seven games this year — helped him earn a recall.
He was picked in the Kangaroos squad for the upcoming Pacific Championships but his suspension forced coach Mal Meninga to drop him from the side and bring in Penrith’s Dylan Edwards.
