Officials report that a resident found a deceased skunk laying with her unvaccinated outside dog and its nine two-week old puppies.
The skunk tested positive for rabies at the Pennsylvania Veterinary Laboratory on November 2nd. the affected area is between Pondtown Road and Lake Meade Road in Latimore Township.Anyone who has come in contact with a wild, stray, or unfamiliar animal should call the rabies hotline at 877-PA HEALTH.
