An Adams County man is facing charges after he was allegedly found to have a sexual relationship with a missing teen from Maryland.
Charges related to statutory sexual assault and child pornography were filed against Coty Hoover , 26, of Biglerville on TuesdayA criminal affidavit details the following about the investigation leading to charges against Hoover :
In a later interview with troopers, the girl said she'd met Hoover on social media app Snapchat, and used both Snapchat and Facebook messenger to talk. She told Hoover she was in ninth grade, but said he never told her his age. Hoover suggested they hang out in person, after which he drove to Maryland and picked the teen up from a Big Lots, the girl said. Hoover then drove her back to his parents' home on Chambersburg Road.
