PartyDown star mradamscott talks about returning to the beloved STARZ series in style for a third season and reuniting with most of the beloved original cast:
The cult classic Starz series Party Down is back, and it's just as good as ever. The first season of Party Down aired in 2009 and was followed up with a second season a year later, but it was ultimately canceled after finding a dedicated but small audience. Luckily for the Party Down faithful and comedy lovers in general, the show only gained popularity and respect in the years since its absence, finally earning a long-awaited third season.
Screen Rant participated in a roundtable discussion with Adam Scott, who discussed putting his bow tie back on and getting ready to Party Down. Note: Portions of this roundtable have been edited for length and clarity. You've been successful for a really long time at this point. How hard is it for you to tap into and remember what it was like to struggle the way Henry does?
Adam Scott: I think that the credit really goes to the people who wrote these characters - to Mike Schur, and John Enbom, and Dan Erickson, who created these characters - and they just happen to be the ones that I connect with. I've played other things, but these are the ones that tend to resonate more, and I think that's probably because I connect with them more. It must be because there's a certain sort of constant regret that we all kind of carry around with us.
What was it like for you to see the fan support for Party Down grow over the last decade, and how did that sit in your mind as you started a new season?
