Megan Thee Stallion joins the Uncut Gems directors' new movie. After rising to prominence for writing and directing the crime thrillers Good Time and Uncut Gems, the latter starring Adam Sandler as a jeweler and gambling addict, Josh and Benny Safdie are reuniting with the star for their next film.

Per Deadline, Megan Thee Stallion is in talks to star alongside Sandler, and even though Netflix declined to comment, it already sounds like a done deal. There is no word on who the Grammy-winning rapper might be playing.
Megan Thee Stallion's Casting Continues An Uncut Gems Trend The Weeknd camoed in Uncut Gems as himself, performing in a nightclub before getting into a fight with Sandler's Howard Ratner. By casting Megan Thee Stallion, the Safdies have now started a trend of casting pop stars in their movies.
Though Megan Thee Stallion probably won't be playing herself, the Safdies' new movie still has a chance for some celebrity cameos. As Sandler revealed, the movie is set in the world of sports memorabilia and could feature some famous sports personalities or athletes playing themselves, similar to Kevin Garnett in Uncut Gems.
