Adam Brody ’s recent Netflix show may have been called Nobody Wants This, but what everyone wants is more award show appearances featuring him and his wife, Leighton Meester .On Sunday, Brody attended the 82nd annual Golden Globes , where he was honored with his first-ever nomination in the category of Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy.
To show support for her hubby, Meester also attended the ceremony, where she even wore a similar color (a coordination that was, apparently, accidental).The Gossip Girl star commemorated the evening on Instagram by sharing a series of photos, including a shot that was seemingly taken before the award show began.In it, Brody is seen holding his tuxedo jacket and smirking for the camera while Meester stands right next to him smiling. “Proud of my ❤️,” she wrote in the caption.For the event, the two chose different shades of green, with Brody sporting a forest-green double-breasted blazer and matching pants from Prada that featured black trims along the lapels of the jacket and the waistband of the slacks. He completed the look by adding a black bowtie and matching brushed leather dress shoes.Meanwhile, Meester opted for a lighter, lime-green dress from Versace, which had a plunging cowl neckline and sparkly, chainmail-like material over a straight slip. She rounded out her ensemble with a matching rectangular clutch and dainty silver jewelry.It’s not often that the two attend award shows together, but they stayed arm-in-arm that night as they walked the red carpet. And despite losing the Golden Globe to Jeremy Allen White, it’s clear Brody is still winning in more ways than one
