Negotiations between SAG-AFTRA and AMPTP resume today following a brief pause giving SAG-AFTRA time to review the latest offer.
, SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP didn’t end up meeting on Wednesday, October 25, after the guild requested more time to review the offer the CEO Gang of Four and AMPTP president Carol Lombardini presented on Tuesday.
“Don’t read anything more into this than what it is — time to review, look at the numbers, consider the counter,” a source close to the talks told Deadline. “This happens all the time in these kinds of negotiations. According to Deadline, the four CEOs — Disney’s Bob Iger, NBCUniversal’s Donna Langley, Warner Bros Discovery’s David Zaslav, and Netflix’s Ted Sarandos — hoped their latest offer would secure a three-year deal with the guild. More than one person close to the talks told Deadline the proposal “flopped” in the room, while others said this was simply the nature of the way these negotiations tend to work.began on July 14, 2023.
