CNN anchor Jim Acosta said Monday on “Newsroom” that the Republican Party should have “flat out rejected” President-elect Donald Trump . Acosta asked Brad Todd , a Republican political strategist, if the Republican Party should have rejected Trump. Todd responded that voters punished Trump for his role in the January 6th attack on the Capitol, but that Democrats also attempted to prevent Trump from being elected through extralegal means.
He argued that this led some voters to question the severity of the situation.
