President Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship for children born in the U.S. to noncitizen parents.

The ACLU called on the court to declare Trump’s order unconstitutional and to bar the order from being enforced. We will not let this attack on newborns and future generations of Americans go unchallenged. The Trump administration's overreach is so egregious that we are confident we will ultimately prevail,” he added.
