Acer has unveiled two new handheld PCs, the Nitro Blaze 8 and 11, featuring larger displays and high-resolution screens powered by AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processors. The devices were announced at CES alongside the Nitro mobile gaming controller.

These devices feature larger, higher-resolution displays compared to the Blaze 7 launched in September 2024. The Nitro Blaze 8 boasts an 8.8-inch WQXGA display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2560 x 1600 resolution, while the Nitro Blaze 11 offers a 10.95-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, detachable controllers, and a front camera.
Both handhelds share specs like 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 2TB NVME SSD storage, two USB-C ports, a micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 55Wh battery. Acer also introduced the Nitro mobile gaming controller, compatible with iOS and Android devices via USB-C, supporting smartphones up to 8.3 inches in size. The controller features rubber pads for grip and comfort, along with an 18W passthrough USB-C port for charging. The Nitro Blaze 8 is priced at $899 USD/€899 and the Nitro Blaze 11 at $1099 USD/€1199, both releasing in Q2 2025. The Nitro mobile gaming controller will cost $69.99 USD/€89.99 and will be released in Q2 2025 in the U.S. and Q1 2025 in EMEA
