Onijee Burgess, 26, robbed pharmacies in Paterson and Passaic from November 2022 through April 2023, authorities said.
A federal grand jury indicted a Paterson man Wednesday on charges accusing him of seven robberies at five pharmacies in Passaic County, netting the thieves narcotic painkillers and anti-anxiety medicine, authorities said.Medications that were stolen included Oxycodone, Percocet, and Xanax, according to court documents.
Law enforcement collected “an extensive amount of video surveillance footage and cell phone data” linking Burgess and alleged co-conspirator Antonio Rivera, of Paterson, to the robberies, Sellinger said in a statement. The other co-conspirators have not been publicly identified.
