Lamarre-Condon was a serving constable when he allegedly shot Sydney men Luke Davies and Jesse Baird dead.
"An off-duty police officer charged with two counts of murder in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs has been removed today from the NSW Police Force," police said in a release.
Lamarre-Condon has been charged with the murders of Luke Davies and Jesse Baird in Sydney on February 19, in Baird's Paddington home. Police have alleged Lamarre-Condon's intent was to kill Baird, but Baird's partner Davies was present on Lamarre-Condon's arrival. That Thursday, police allege, he drove to a friend's home in Newcastle, where he asked for a hose to clean out the van.On Friday, he handed himself in to police at Bondi Police Station.
