Firefighters remain at the scene of a landfill site blaze in Accrington which broke out on Sunday evening .
Pictures shared on social media showed huge plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky above the town. Emergency services remain at the scene this morning and no injuries or road closures have been reported.In a statement, LFRS said: "Four fire engines from Hyndburn, Blackburn and Leyland, along with the water bowser from Leyland attended a waste fire on Whinney Hill Road, Accrington. Crews remain in attendance.
