She’s a seventh and eighth grade English teacher, yearbook sponsor, junior Beta Club sponsor and volleyball coach.As an educator, Maushard teaches foundational skills on the court and in the classroom.“I worked for a bank, and it got taken over, and so I saw a door closing and a window opening,” she said. “My true passion has always been to help others, and what better way than to teach.
“I knew I wanted to help others and teach, but I didn’t know for sure what that would look like. I went to AUM and there were just amazing professors out there that really helped me find my calling and my fit,” Maushard said. “This transition in middle school is kind of tough, and so helping kids realize that they’re becoming young adults and what that entails really just stands out for me.”“I am set in structure and rigor.
