The pop supergroup is going on an "indefinite hiatus" after its 20th anniversary tour ends on Sept. 21, 2024.The rock band The Postal Service has announced that it plans to go on an indefinite hiatus once it wraps up its current tour later this week.
The band’s final show will be Sept. 21 at the “As we bring the Transatlanticism / Give Up Tour to a close, I want you all to know that getting the opportunity to perform these two albums live has been one of the greatest thrills and honors of my entire life,” singer Ben Gibbard said in a statement,“On behalf of Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service; Thank you so much for coming out and singing along. We will see you all again somewhere down the road.”The group only released one album to date, “Give Up,” which came out in 2003.
