Major college football realignment news, and a former Buckeye hitting the coaching ranks.

Former Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave catches a touchdown pass against Clemson in the 2021 Sugar Bowl. The possibility of Ohio State and Clemson one day being in the same conference has always seemingly been on the table.on Tuesday, the conference is exploring a new revenue structure that will bring an end to lawsuits brought by Clemson and Florida State.

The ACC is in its deal with ESPN until 2036. Earlier this year, Florida State lawyers estimated that it could cost, 12 of the 14 Big Ten schools each received about $60.5 million from the conference last year — Maryland and Rutgers received about $58.8 million each. Each ACC school received between $43.3 million and $46.9 million.

Each year, and specifically when looked at over a set number of years, there is a gap between the Big Ten and SEC compared to other conference in college athletics. That’s what Florida State and Clemson have been fighting for, knowing their value to the conference far exceeds a school like Syracuse or Wake Forest.
