Footage has emerged of tennis star Novak Djokovic crouched on the ground in pain after a tennis match when he was struck in the head by a hard water bottle.
Footage of tennis superstar Novak Djokovic seemingly being struck on the head with a water bottle by a fan is not quite what it seems after additional vision revealed more to the story.
Fans and tennis lovers alike came together to scold the attacker, describing what they perceived to be an act of violence as “disgusting” on social media.“Absolutely disgusting behaviour from whoever did this,” popular X account The Tennis Letter tweeted. “The world is becoming a very sad place.” “Really feel bad for that guy, he genuinely seems to be just there for the autograph,” wrote one user.
Tournament organisers confirmed the incident in an official statement and said there was no cause for concern over his condition.
