Chris Paul didn’t look to go into detail about his present and future, but made one thing clear.Paul addressed his situation with the Suns during an interview Thursday morning regarding his powerful new book titled, “Sixty-One – Life Lessons From Papa, On And Off The Court,” about his late grandfather, Nathaniel “Papa” Jones.Sources later informed The Arizona Republic that Paul, 38, remains on the roster and the team was “exploring” options with waiving the 12-time All-Star being one of them.
Sources informed The Republic this week the Suns are still exploring options regarding Paul, who is in the third year of his four-year, $120-million contract. Paul’s book goes on sale on June 20. With ESPN’s Michael Wilbon collaborating on the book, Paul pins a gripping, emotional and inspiring story about what he learned from the man known as “Papa Chilly” and how those lessons resonate in his life to this day when it comes to his family, basketball career and beyond.Paul scored 61 points on Nov. 20, 2002, the day after his grandfather’s funeral, in honoring the man who means the world to him.
