The Buccaneers comfortably saw out their CAF Confederations Cup group campaign with a 0-0 draw against second-placed Al Ittihad at the Orlando Stadium to finish in first place in Group B.
Therefore, it came as quite a surprise when the ever-reliable Olisa Ndah was not named in the Bucs starting XI and was left out of the squad completely, with Happy Jele and Ntsikelelo Nyauza selected in central defence. “The starting line-up is informed by a number of things [such as] the availability of players, suspensions and players from injuries. This was not the line-up we wanted to play with at the back,” Ncikazi told journalists.
