If passed, the will create 200 metre safe access zones - otherwise known as 'buffer zones' - outside 30 hospitals and clinics across Scotland.
A proposed law to ban protests outside abortion clinics in Scotland is to be voted on by MSPs at Holyrood today.
MSP Gillian Mackay said today's vote was a "key stage" for the bill as it is the first time MSPs will vote on its principles. It will then progress to stage two, where it will receive amendments and further scrutiny ahead of the final vote at stage three. She said: “This is a key stage for my bill and the first time that MSPs will have the opportunity to vote on its principles ahead of amendments. This can and must be a moment of unity for our Parliament.
