An abducted woman spent more than two hours speaking with Edison police dispatchers in a “cryptic” phone call as she rode in a car before Port Authority police officers took the driver into custody near the George Washington Bridge on Wednesday, authorities said.
Dispatchers had the woman on the phone as the driver headed toward New York, with Edison police sending alerts to other departments to be on the lookout for the car, an officials said.. The abduction followed a domestic dispute between the woman and the man who was driving, though additional information wasn’t immediately available. It’s unclear where the abduction occurred.
