Lidia Thorpe made headlines across the country for a tirade against patrons of a strip club in Melbourne but the public broadcaster has completely avoided the story on all of its digital platforms.

The story which rocked headlines in most major news outlets this week was conspicuously left off all the public broadcaster’s digital platforms. But after questions from SkyNews.com.au, ABC TV did make one brief mention of Ms Thorpe’s strip club fiasco during its Afternoon Briefing program on Tuesday where host Greg Jennett asked Senator Sarah Hanson Young if the former Green would be sanctioned if she was still a member of the party.

“Lidia Thorpe is a Senator caught using racially charged, sexually explicit, abusive language outside a strip club, so how can the national broadcaster fail to report this on their website?” Ms Hanson said on Twitter. “Lots of Australians won’t even know about it… if you only get your news from the ABC, the national taxpayer-funded broadcasting corporation that’s supposed to be comprehensive and unbiased,” Kenny said on Sky News Australia on Tuesday.

The new funding disclosures have been introduced to provide readers with “additional context” for government accounts engaged in geopolitics and diplomacy. ABC confirmed to SkyNews.com.au on Monday it does not have"any plans to shut down" its Twitter accounts. She could be seen in a clip yelling at a man about his"small penis" and questioned why"black brothers" were standing with a"white little c***".The controversial Senator is seen walking out the strip club's doors and straight up to one of the men, repeatedly shouting and pointing her finger centimetres from his face.A few seconds later she walks towards a waiting taxi and opens the door before walking back to the group and yelling at the same man again.

Lidia Thorpe’s rant her latest incident of ‘appalling behaviour’Lidia Thorpe’s rant her latest incident of ‘appalling behaviour’Sky News host Sharri Markson says Independent Senator Lidia Thorpe’s rant outside a Melbourne strip club on Sunday morning is just her latest indent of “appalling behaviour”. Ms Thorpe clashed with police at the Mardi Gras festival in March, lying down in front of a float and refusing to move. Ms Markson questioned why Greens leader Adam Bandt is not being “held to account” for previously preselecting the Senator. “It's his party that gave this woman a national platform, that gave her a safe, taxpayer-funded salary at a time the rest of the country is struggling,” she said. “Her position, her salary – it is a privilege, and she doesn't realise that, and the Greens should be apologising for this.”

Lidia Thorpe represents the ‘new race politics’ of hatred and divisionLidia Thorpe represents the ‘new race politics’ of hatred and divisionIndependent Senator Lidia Thorpe represents the “new race politics” of hatred and division following her early-morning rant outside a Melbourne strip club, Sky News host Andrew Bolt says. Mr Bolt said the strip club seems to have “higher standards” than federal parliament after banning her from the establishment. “If Australia’s cultural elite, our politicians, so many of our journalists, hadn't gone down that path of making race the biggest thing that divides us, of painting Australia as rotten with racism, of promoting white guilt as the one thing holding back Aborigines – there would be no Lidia Thorpe,” he said.
