Dinan will lead the ABC evening newscast alongside anchor David Muir.
Chris Dinan will become executive producer of the program immediately, after serving as senior broadcast producer for the past decade. The announcement was made Monday morning byDinan joined ABC in 2011, and spent much of his career before that at CBS News, where he worked for anchors like Dan Rather and Katie Couric.World News Tonight
