EAGLE PASS, Texas - Gov. Greg Abbott brought several guests to Eagle Pass on Tuesday, serving Thanksgiving lunch to Texas DPS Troopers and National Guardsmen.He said it was his first time seeing some of the efforts Texas is making along the border, and that some of the measures taken here could be carried to other states.
Abbott and Homan gave remarks before serving Thanksgiving meals to DPS troopers and National Guardsmen in Eagle Pass. They stopped in Edinburg later in the day. "Let me be clear, there is going to be a mass deportation," Homan said. "Because we just finished a mass illegal immigration crisis on the border... If we don't do it, what is the option? Let them stay? Because you let them stay, you'll never fix the border."
"They're not going to stop us from doing what we're doing on interior enforcement operation. I've said 100 times in the last week, don't cross that line," Homan said.Homan and Governor Abbott didn't list any specific border measures that they're considering right now, but they did say that they are talking and planning.
