Rodgers also described the last week of rehabilitation on his ruptured Achilles tendon as “tough” after previously having larger periods of progress.The Pat McAfee Show “It’s been a tough week of rehab; it’s been kind of smaller gains,” he said. “I think when you get to a certain point, you’re not maybe having the jumps you have early on when you’re out of a cast and out a boot and in a shoe.”“It’s been more of a grind the last week or so, but a lot of good things we’re trending towards,” he said. “It’s a matter of trying to get down to 100 percent walking normal. I’m not walking without a limp yet.
“The surgery that I got I feel great about and the protection that my Achilles has and the ability to push the rehab. The goal is not to stretch the Achilles the goal is to stress the Achilles. And the more you can stress the Achilles you’re going to allow that thing to heal up the proper way, to turn all the muscles around the Achilles and calf and being able to get back to doing some more normal thongs.
