Aaron Rodgers took a positive view of Jordan Love’s first preseason performance
Love played for six series in the first two quarters, excluding a one-play drive that ran the clock out before halftime. After going three-and-out to start, he engineered an eight-play, 80-yard touchdown drive in which he went 3-for-5 for 64 yards and one scoring toss, adding a 12-yard rush. That’s when things went awry, with Love throwing an interception on each of the next three drives. All three picks occurred in San Francisco territory.
Love was the 26th pick in the 2020 draft, and has appeared in six games for the Packers with one start . He’s completed 58.1% of his career pass attempts for 411 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. Love will continue to try to prove himself as Green Bay continues its preseason schedule with a home game against the Saints on Friday.
