“So, for the rest of the world right now, it’s Tuesday. In the New York Jets football operation, it’s Monday because there is one week until the next game or six days until the next game. This firing happens and then boom, the schedule goes crazy. And then it’s like, hey, tomorrow, probably much smarter and much better and much more couth for the entire situation, especially for a coach he has a lot of respect for.
