New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge has played 864 regular season games in his Major League Baseball career, plus another 44 in the postseason. On Monday, he's doing something he's never done before.When the Yankees take on the Baltimore Orioles on Monday for the first of a four-game series, Judge won't be in his usual spot in the outfield — or even his second-most-usual spot.
This year, Judge has been the Yankees' everyday center fielder. He didn't start playing that position until 2021, his fifth full MLB season. Aside from one center field appearance in 2018, in which Judge played eight innings, his first consistent playing time in center field came in 2021, when he made 23 appearances. In 2022, that number jumped to 78 appearances in center. In 2023, it was back to 18.
