'A very good game against a very good team' - proud Broos delight with Bafana performance

Bafana opened the scoring within the first 10 minutes through Themba Zwane but after intense pressure from the hosts, conceded through Borussia Dortmund’s Sébastien Haller scored in the second half at a packed Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny stadium.Against the run of play, South Africa created the most scoring chances and were unlucky not to find the back of the net when both Khuliso Mudau and Lebo Mothiba missed big scoring opportunities.
"As angry as I was on Friday, is as pleased as I am today. I think South Africa played a very good game against a very good team," Broos told SAFA media after the match. "There was a good mentality on the pitch and they played good football, not only defending. The way we sometimes attacked, we put Ivory Coast in trouble."It’s a pity that in the second half, the biggest chance of the game and we didn’t score, otherwise it should have been 2-0 and we should win the game.
