Shanahan was viewed as one of the top interior offensive linemen in the 2023 recruiting class. He appeared in three games for the Aggies in 2023 and redshirted. Shanahan had interest from Texas, LSU, Florida, Miami and Georgia.The Lions return Nick Dawkins at center and Vega Ioane at guard. The latter was a second-team All-Big Ten choice last season. There is a bit of intrigue as to who will start at the other guard spot. Veteran JB Nelson, who had starting experience and could contribute at guard or tackle,“I love TJ.
