Veteran Jed Lowrie placed on the 10-day injured list among the A’s seven transactions.

The demotion of center fielder Cristian Pache was among a flurry of roster transactions the A’s announced Thursday before their series opener in Seattle.

Pache hit .203 in April, but his production continued to plummet. He batted .120 in June, striking out 18 times in 54 plate appearances, but the A’s are confident Pache can work out his offensive issues at Triple-A Las Vegas. Pache hit .267 with a .331 on-base percentage in parts of two Triple-A seasons in the Braves system.

In all, the A’s made seven player moves Thursday, including recalling right-hander Adrián Martínez, who will make his second start of the season on Thursday night against the Mariners. Martínez pitched 5.1 scoreless innings in his big league debut against Detroit during a doubleheader on May 10, and went 4-1 with a 4.84 ERA in eight starts after returning to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Infielder Vimael Machin was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas, and Skye Bolt was reinstated from the 60-day injured list. He was in the lineup Thursday, replacing Pache in center and batting sixth.
