Rochester, N.Y. — There's a new place for kids in the 14605 neighborhood to get buckets and chase their hoop dreams.students in that neighborhood got new free sneakers through a community partnership , city leaders cut the ribbon on a new basketball court at the Trenton & Pamela Jackson R-Center on North Clinton Avenue, where the kids can break in those new kicks!

The standard-sized court will also allow the R-Center to host leagues and tournaments, and will allow more players on the court at one time. "This basketball court will be a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to enjoy the benefits of physical activity, team work, and friendly competition," said Dr. Shirley Green, the commissioner of the department of recreation and human services at the City of Rochester.
