A three-judge panel for the Fifth Circuit partly overruled a Texas judge who tried to suspend the FDA's approval of mifepristone, the pill used to medication abortions.

Galvanized after the US Supreme Court ended the nationwide right to abortion last June, anti-abortion forces are now targeting the prescription drug mifepristone in their campaign to win a total ban on the practice. A federal judge in Texas suspended the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of mifepristone.
