It appears that Apple's audio-focused subsidiary, Beats, is preparing to launch an upgraded version of its Studio Buds product that
. Based on 9to5Mac’s findings in the latest iOS 16.4 beta, the upcoming earbuds will be known as the Beats Studio Buds Plus .
The new variant is shown to sport what appears to be the same design as its predecessor, complete with the same oval-like charging case and stem-less form factor for both earbuds. The only noticeable difference is the new black and gold colour scheme that’s not offered on the existing Studio Buds.
It’s also not known whether it will feature any other changes that sets it apart from the vanilla Studio Buds, especially in terms of audio driver size, battery life, or water resistance rating. For your reference, the original model features 8.2 mm drivers, up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge , and has a water resistance rating of IPX4.Seeing that details regarding the new Beats Studio Buds Plus are included in the iOS 16.
