The owner already runs three similar venues

Stockport is fast becoming one of Greater Manchester's best spots for independent bars and cafes - and the borough could soon be home to another micro-pub after plans were submitted for a new site in Bredbury.

The rear garden will be fitted with benches and seating areas with some roof covering, and the front will also have seating for customers. At the rear will be a cellar and a toilet with a stairway leading to upstairs where there will be a kitchenette, storage area, and a bathroom.Four staff could run the new pub which would open from 11.30am to 11.30pm six days a week, closing an hour earlier on Sundays.

A statement included in the planning application shared hopes that the new venue could "revitalise" the area with a "small scale, low key" bar that acts as a hub for residents without the adverse impacts which can occur when larger pubs open.
