Majority approve of Trump impeachment inquiry and say it's 'necessary' as support for proceedings grow: poll
Early reports about the whistleblower's concerns ignited public outrage — and resulted in the complaint and a partial transcript of the call being released, as well as a formal impeachment inquiry into Trump, announced by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday.
Support for Trump's impeachment has yet to reach a majority. According to the CBS poll, 42 percent of respondents said the president deserves to be impeachment over the Ukraine scandal, while 36 percent said he doesn't deserve impeachment, and another 22 percent indicated that"it's too soon to say."
