Girls Basketball: Spring Branch ISD players get All-District 17-6A recognition
After the 2021-2022 girls basketball season finished for District 17-6A teams, the district’s coaches voted for the best players in the district which is comprised of four Spring Branch ISD teams and four Cy-Fair ISD teams.
Spring Branch ISD accounted for three superlatives, six first-team All-District players, and 19 total All-District recognitions.Memorial was co-District champion with Cy Creek, with both teams going 13-1 in district play.National Signing Day 2022: Fifteen Spring Branch ISD student athletes sign across three signing ceremoniesSpring Woods freshman Brittany Bargas was selected as the district Newcomer of the Year.

The Spring Branch ISD players who received honorable mention All-District recognition are: Memorial freshman Helen Rieke, Northbrook junior Nyla Walker, Spring Woods senior Daniela Mendoza, and Stratford junior Maggie Parker. The other honorable mention All-District 17-6A players are Cy-Fair’s Macy Eaken, Cy Ridge’s Mia Riley, Alyssa Andrada, and Kamry Moore, Cy Creek’s Tiara Simpson, and Jersey Village’s Makayla Daniels, A’maya Kailimai, and Lena Kennard.
